It appears that we have found all remaining names needed in the legacy files. I will soon create a plug in for them so that new games do not have to have them in it to save space.
I am now working on areas where enemies don't attack each other like the warehouses in collector. In SOC the warehouses never had bandits so there was nothing in that level that had them listed as enemies. Now Freedom will react to the bandits when they try to enter the base.
If you run across a place where one enemy does not react to the other please let me know so I can check it out.
The SweetFX crashes are my fault as the actual preset files I created did not get into the patches. I believe the auto-updater already fixes it so I will wait until 109998 to release a fix myself. |

| Ja mislim da ce u multiplayeru, dosta igrati ulogu manje grafike, jer npr. kad sam sam stavio vise trave da redera skuzio sam da sad neprijatelji pucaju na mene kroz travu i da me vide dok ja njih ne,
dosta je zeznuto ako npr. ja koristim dx8 gdje je sve lijepo pregledno i stavim bez rendera trave, dok netko koristi depth of field, motion blur, i svakakve ostale nepotrebne grafike nerealne kod sweetfx i meltacovih shadera
tu je ocito da cu ja nekoga prije vidjeti i prije djelovati nego netko drugi tko koristi dx9 ili dx11 sa sweetfx
zato ja mislim da default grafika i render biljaka i trave i shaderi bi trebali biti postavljeni za sve isto jer bi to bilo kljucno kod prezivljavanja
bilo bi mozda dobro tecnobaconu predloziti nesto u vezi toga
a posto je to nemoguce barem jedan dio staviti da je default poput trave itd. jer bi moglo to dosta igrati ulogu
jer npr. zelis igrati sa super atmosferom i grafikom da se uzivis ali netko tko igra samo da lovi i ubija ko bandit baci na najmanji render trave i dx8 i skuzi te sa 100 m cuceci u travi vidi tebe sa 100m koji cucis navodno u "travi" koja se samo tebi prikazuje |

| @Nailer Mada ja ne igram mnogo online(multiplayer) igre i ako me moje znanje ne vara, taj se slučaj (kojeg si napomenuo) može da dogodi samo u "prvosobnom" režimu igre, jer tada motor igre određuje ' Ai' koliko on vidi i koliko je precizan kod pucanja. A kod multiplayer-a to ovisi prema postavkama drugog igrača koje ima nastavljene na njegovom kompjuteru, pa tako te ni on ne može da vidi ako ima vrlo visoku travu kod sebe(nastavljenu). | @sadd da tako je, znaci ako drugi igrac nema postavljenu travu da se crta kod njega u postavkama on ce imati prednost jer ce vidjeti druge koji bi terbali biti u travi i obrnuto
zato mislim da bi tecnobacon trebao tu postaviti nekakav default trave po levelima |

Right now I am optimizing several things to improve performance and reduce/rid ourselves of the staggering.
The loadout system has been consolidated and optimized as well as the death manager with good results.
There are two areas that are causing the spawn stalls, the over sized string cache and the respawner which has to go through 10 times the alife and items each pass.
the strings will be ongoing as there are a massive amount of them and many can be consolidated.
I am looking at ways to improve the respawner and smart terrain so I can spread the respawns out a bit. |

aleks1970 managed to add the "Repair Kit Revamped" into the STALKERSOUP with new textures and some new functions!.

You already know about my big blunder: protected items check..
I fixed Lukash, was crossed with Arhara quests.
I like the new repair system as it will let you salvage weapons, I will probably change it a little so that the salvaged weapons are stored separately from MO as I am getting many submissions where his inventory is too big (red flashing warning about transmutator).
MOs inventory may be the biggest problem with the xray engine and certainly is targeted for a major redesign during conversion.
Things are now behind schedule so I do not know when the patch will get posted but I will 'tweet' it the minute I do.. |

I will be posting the updated text files and the spreadsheet in the repository in the dialog improvement project. Upcoming patch will have the new structure as the system.ltx and some gamedata files are required to fully use the new text. |

many things have been fixed/improved in this upcoming patch so I will focus instead on what still needs to be done after this patch:
Weapons are still on hold but hopefully will get into the 99 patch. Artifacts are not miss-named but mangled in some cases and will get sorted out. The old repair box and repair tools will get removed in favor of the new repair kit which is now given by sid. More entries into the diaries about tasks to reduce the reliance on a guide. Even more dialog improvement and localization. Some task/storyline changes to coincide better with the main storyline. Continuation of the Storm and the Reclamation afterward which is also the start of the live-link interface. Final fixes to broken quests and the last iteration (hopefully) of the all.spawn.

WOW, away just three days and I have more than 1300 emails to answer and also a huge amount of entries in my forums..
It will take me several days to get back into the swing of things, also been told that my brain will not be 100% for several more days yet.
I see that there are some issues with factions being enemies when they should not, this could be as I just went thru the factions and adjusted some relations values that might have conflicted with some older game saves. I will take another look at them this week. Edit2; - Quote :

Now that most of the SOC/NS portions are almost fully working there are some new issues I will need to address: Changes to the dialogs and infos to better guide the player through the Zone. A better guide that better follows SS as it is unique in many ways plus continues way beyond NS.
Another note to users: many characters get removed as the game progresses for two reasons; reduction of alife in some levels that get overpopulated or they do not have proper smart terrains for after NS so they cause crashes to path errors (like greeter in bar).

There has been a lot of talk about translation of the Russian text. You would need to collect all the text from 9 different mods, one of which is NS which is huge. I did this translation over 4 years ago and it took me almost a year.
That said: One of my BEST co-modders is Aleks1970 and I have just been informed that the Balkan language plug-in for SS is more than 80% completed! Aleks also provides me with English improvements to the dialogs as well, plus things like the new repair kit, advanced suits etc..
The Dialog Improvement Project did stall but only because of the rapid and quant full changes that were occurring on my side, I did use the submissions but gradually. I will update the dialogs and also define the gamedata.dbq (Localization Plug-In) in 109999 so that all text is localized in that file.
The best way to make suggestions now is to send me just the text block and it's tag. i.e. <string id="enc_wpn_addon_shotgun"> <text>'new text'</text> </string>

Had to recompile the all.spawn for 109999, doctor in hideout logic not being referenced. Will not require new game start unless you want the animation and sound for that sequence. Otherwise just wait out the time and it will complete properly. I will probably recompile it one more time for 1.1 but that may make all past saves unusable in 1.1. If there are any level makers out there that think they have a new level that has a complete terrain and game graph that they would like to see in SS then contact me before 1.1 is done!
There are many changes to the text files in 99 as well as a lot more localization so I would hold off from doing too many files until it's release. Once 99 is out weapons should be complete and ready for 3rd party plug-ins such as Grimwald and Realistic pack. Several other sections have been designed to be plug-ins as well: Sounds with ability to change just the Radio and Music Player. Sky/Blowouts. Terrain. Weather.
Already my music from Brazil is a plug-in from the repository that demonstrates this feature.
Economy I do agree that the monetary system has been screwed up with all the submissions I have used.
I have not looked at it at all as there has been way too much else to work on..
It appears that this is an area that I will have to look at prior to 99 and I hope it does not take too much time.
I have to say that I hate the lottery system in the game and might get rid of it, maybe he could be the banker for depositing money instead.
A big problem I have is the shear number of items with prices as well as the number of traders. Not to mention the number of npc profiles that define the money they get on spawn..
It's often very easy for someone to point out these issues without realizing the depth of the work involved.. |

I redid the sms messages so that they are all within the 186 char limit and so far I have had no crashes all the way to the brain lab.
I also discovered what has been causing the crash when going from brain lab to the yantar tunnel. It was bad map spots on three alife objects, this no doubt is what is also causing the waiting room crash.
The 186 char sms limit is going to be a headache for those translating to different languages as it will be different for each language but can be done. |

There are ways to sidetrack the whole NS story which actually ends in Dead City and that is when you end up in the same spot as if you start the game as collector. If you end up in the swamp then you need to continue the NS story until you get to that point. This will get a little bit better structured in the alpha release that should be out rather soon.
Level-up 0 is all the stalker content as well as DMX NS and all or part of a slew of other excellent mods.
Level-up 1 is the collector treasure hunt by DKZ and also my gold bars quest and zep (zone expansion project) storyline which has been developing during the beta, it should be completed during the alpha stage.
Level-up 2 is the aftermath and repopulation rush after the great storm and will be part of the final release.
Level-up 3 will be the companions by OGSE with my own twist to it, hope it is ready for release but may be later.
Level-up 4 will add the 'live-link' PDA (social media interface) and multiplayer using my own creation 'surrobots' allowing very large groups to play together. This needs hosting and other things which puts this out several months yet.
During all of this there will be continuation of the zep storyline so SS is far from wrapping it up. The incorporation of packs and plug-ins also allows very easy third party content to be used.
As far as the 64bit engine there is a lot of work done and hopefully all involved will honor the gnu license and post their work as I intend to do so we all can get there faster.

I made a mistake in x16 that removes ghost and controller when switch gets activated, sorry for that. I also believe that I have finally fixed the x16 and waiting room exit crashes (thanks aleks1970) but of course only time will tell.
If you want the fix for x16 before 1.1alpha is released (appx 1 week) then email me for it.
The 1.1 pre-release will have the alife better balanced, tasks better controlled and arts/anoms managed more.
When submitting crash reports, etc. you should still send the autosave as well so I can verify what the fixer and pop control did to the level on entry.

When I started this mod it was sorta linear but it was only a version of Naradnaya Solyanka and had 13 levels. It has been a major task to add all the content that the recent version contains and much without any translations. I had to split it up into two distinct parts to prevent many conflicts and thus level ups were born. Along with the addition of story and quests from the 3 original stalker games; has made the guide less usable and in some cases wrong or confusing. I have been slowly adding to the diary to expand on some of it and also have been revamping the task manager to try and balance it better.
There is a linear story that takes you all the way through to dead city and that is where you end NS and start the collector, it still has a few rough spots. log entries also need to be created to help follow the story and what needs to be done to continue much like the new collector diary.
I am trying to address as much as I can before 1.1 release and the alpha version is close (will share it next week as I don't have a design team for that) which makes you my alpha testers (voluntary of course..).
Already I have fixed many of the issues being discussed but some are only verifiable from new starts which of course will take awhile.
Thanks for all the submissions, they are making verification easier for much of the 1.1a release. |

Really sorry I have not posted 1.1a yet but for good reason..
Trade structure was a mess and had to be completely restructured to function the way it was originally meant to. Now quest items are truly protected while allowing full customization of supplies and a progressive trade style.
Fixed all the bad arts in forgotten forest, many fixed or modified quests based on feedback.
Still a few days out as we are hitting the weekend and of course work is last on the do list during it..

Dialog Update I have updated aleks1970 to the new 1.1a so that the dialog improvements can be integrated properly into it. This is no small task as I have done a lot of work on several of the files which will need to be compared and properly migrated. Not all the changes may get into the alpha phase but should be caught up by release.
The benefit of having aleks do this is of course demographics so hopefully we won't loose the humor and real intent of the dialog.

Pošto je prije bila "Beta" sada je "Alfa" - StalkerSoup je sada dorađen na razinu stabilne igrice, naravno da još ima svojih "bubica" (pa to je Stalker zar ne) ali se te smanjuju po broju Ali da nagovjestim još jednom: Naš član "Freedom" je više puta prešao igru pa bi najbolje bilo da njega pitate putem utisaka iz same igre - on če najlakše da ocjeni kako se StalkerSoup poboljšao tekom vremena... Lots of fixes and improvements as well as a good improvement in the overall speed of the game loop.
This is the final reconstruction of the database files which now go to gamedata.dbv.
Future updates, enhancements and package add-ons including plug-ins will be easy to make as well as for the user to install/uninstall.
Want a different environment then just replace gamedata.dbo thru dbq, trade system just .dbu, weapon configs just .dbr and so on.
Should be well worth the download and old saves will still work although some fixes and new content are only available with a new game start. |

Ide nekako blizu 19Gb kada je spreman za igru a 7.5GB kada je u 7z arhivi... Ps. Za igru nije potrebno da se instaluje SoC. |

| Pozdrav svim Stalkerima,obzirom da me je sadd pomijnao par puta imam potrebu da vam se javim i da vam porucim da ce vam se strpjlenje isplatiti,jer je igra fenomenalna.Ko je igrao Soljanku, i ranije verzije zakrpa Stalker Soup-a videce neke novine koje su ubacene u igru.O samoj igri sta reci igra je sada mnogo stabilnija u odnosu na predhodne verzije zakrpa desi se tu i tamo da igra pukne,a uglavnom se to desava na prelazima iz oblasti u oblast ali nakon ponvnog ucitavanja igre bude sve ok.Na kraju nemogu a da ne pomenem da su TB,i momci Sadd,Coolkingeye,iFlexerca uradili sjajan posao oko igre. |
